Marine Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)

Advanced MBBR-Based Marine Wastewater Treatment for Cleaner Seas

SEACUREX TREAT is the dedicated marine sewage treatment product line of SEACUREX Marine Engineering Pvt. Ltd., developed for wastewater treatment requirements across commercial, industrial, and naval vessels. The system is based on Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) biological treatment technology and is presented in the supplied technical documentation as a compact, automated marine wastewater treatment solution.

Designed around marine operating requirements, SEACUREX TREAT combines biological treatment, clarification and disinfection, with the documented process flow also incorporating filtration and UV treatment stages.

Core Technology

Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR)

Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR)

SEACUREX TREAT uses MBBR biological treatment technology, utilizing high-surface-area internal media structures to support biological growth while maintaining a compact system arrangement. According to the technical documentation, this process is intended to provide efficient multi-stage purification without a system bypass.

During the biological stage, macerated effluent enters an aerobic treatment zone where aeration provides oxygen to active biomass, supporting the biological breakdown of impurities.

How Seacurex Treat Works

01

Sewage Inlet

Incoming sewage enters the treatment system and passes through the initial screening and collection stages.

02

Bar Screening & Oil-Grease Separation

The documented process flow includes a bar screen and oil-grease chamber as part of the initial treatment arrangement.

03

Equalization

The wastewater is directed through an equalization tank, providing an intermediate stage within the treatment process.

04

MBBR Biological Treatment

The biological treatment stage uses the MBBR process. Aeration supports the biological treatment process and active biomass growth.

05

Clarification

The treated flow passes into a secondary tube settler for clarification. The documentation notes that the tube-settler arrangement is intended to help mitigate the effects of ship motion on settling performance.

06

Clarified Water

The clarified wastewater moves to the clarified-water stage before final treatment.

07

Filtration

The documented process flow incorporates a Dual Media Filter (DMF) stage.

08

UV Treatment

The process flow also identifies UV treatment as part of the final treatment arrangement.

09

Final Disinfection

The technical description identifies an automated chemical tabletting dispenser followed by a final chlorination stage to reduce harmful microorganisms before discharge.

10

Treated Effluent & Sludge Handling

The documented flow includes safe disposal, sludge recycle, and sludge recirculation provisions within the overall treatment.
